As followers of Jesus, we at First UMC of Unadilla are called by God to reach out to those around us through acts of service and compassion and the sharing of the good news of the gospel. We offer a wide variety of opportunities to reach out to others in our church, in our community and around the world. God has called us to go beyond the walls of our church building and reach out to the neighborhoods around us. We rely on many volunteers to serve and reach out to others in service projects with local non-profit partnerships in the community.
As we look to future mission outreach, we see our church family growing individually and collectively. We are beginning to feel a tug to reach out further to our family, friends and our community. As we reach out, we’ll equip and lift each other up to EMBRACE those things that God reaches out to tell us to fulfill in our world by Serving, Connecting, Inviting, Giving AND THEN WE CELEBRATE!.

Our Group Objective
Make certain both congregation and community are involved in development of new programs & projects that broaden outreach and say, “We are growing our faith to move into the future”.
Our Goals
1. Experience Growth SPIRITUALLY
2. Increase PARTICIPATION with our Community of Faith
Measures of Success
With our vision to make the church a living part of the community, we seek and create opportunities to fulfill our mission. Connection increases our church’s engagement in the life of our community. Initially, we will measure our progress by tracking one time and recurring events that reach people. Opportunities to be in touch with the community and to be somewhere we haven’t been before will be monitored.
